Joe Cannon to KC?

The Rapids were close to finalizing a deal Wednesday to trade standout goalie Joe Cannon to the Kansas City Wizards, according to a source familiar with the negotiations.

It's a very early (late?) Christmas present to all of us!! Without Cannon (or Cunningham) who the heck are they? Nobody. Mwahahaha....

Oh wait. At least they have Cletus.

Happy Holidays, folks. I hope this is true!

Did you notice that they are losing Nate Borchers too. I'm not sure how big a blow that will be, but it seems like everyone wants to jump ship. They all realize that it is sinking fast.

Cunningham, Borchers, Cannon...ouch.

So 2006 starters would include Glenn, Pablo, Mathis and Foss?

Cletus must be gnawing off his limbs one by one, being stuck on a team like that.

And I had to show a lot of restraint to keep my reply on BS as civil as it was.

As opposed to being stuck on a 5 win non-playoff team last year? Even without the players we lost we can manage more than 5 wins next season, and I bet we don't lose to Chivas twice...

I hope that makes you feel better about your team. You have little enough to celebrate about if you have to glory about being better than the two teams at the bottom of the table.

Get back to us when we've been in the league as long as you have right now and let's see how we're doing then.
