Rusty Pierce to Columbus Crew for 2007 Draft Pick

I hope Rusty can stay healthy. He is a great defender. I wish him the best of luck with his new team...

I know this has been asked with previous transactions, but what can you do with a third round supplemental draft pick?

Apparently, you can trade it for a player like Rusty Pierce.

smarty pants. 😛

With the reserve games I think it means more than it used it. With an expanded roster, especially on the development side it would take even more importance. The idea being it's a way to develop some young pups that may not be starters this year but worth it with some more experience. Of course that still needs to the MLS to work out how teams get credit for the players they develop.

I agree here. I really enjoy watching Rusty when he is healthy. I hope that he can stay healthy and contribute in Columbus.
