Great news. We're starting to look strong from touchline to touchline. If our vets stay healthy, this could be a competitive team.

👍

I remind you that at the last Loyalists meeting, in the RSL headquarters, Steve Pastorino told us that we could expect at least one more big name player, though he wouldn't say who he had in mind. He made reference to the fact that they were well below the salary cap, so they had lots of room to add a couple of big names. Something like that.

MLSNet.com says that there's an 11 AM conference call today.

Steve Pastorino said the Metros were trying to pawn Pope off for "Two beers and two hot dogs".

So I can only assume they upped the ante to a "12 pack and a case of Ball Park franks!"

However the rumor before today was that Pope was going to Sunderland (--edit-- Southampton)UK.
Now that would warrant a conference call as well... don't you think?

This is soooooo soooooo rad!

Pope is such a calming influence at the back -- he rarely gets panicked and he has so much experience. The only bummer is that we can expect him to be off with the USMNT a lot.

Maybe this will shut up some of those idiots saying that this will be the worst team in MLS history.

If this is true, which I am sure it is...

All of us need to get down to the concession stands at the half and buy two beers(or soft drinks) and two hot dogs...
So we can do our part to help the front office pay for Pope!!!

We now have twice as many U.S. National team players as the Crapids...

Aren't the proceeds from concessions and the like going to the U? That was my understanding.
