I guess this is what the kits will look like:

Hey, I just had a great idea. Since RSL is selling out to KFC, let's come up with name ideas. Here's a few:
Salt Lake Colonels
Extra Crispy Salt Lake
Salt Lake Chicken Kickers
Honey BBQ Salt Lake
Salt Lake Crunch Wrap Supremes (since KFC and Taco Bell are the same company)
Salt Lake Bellgrande
Chalupa Salt Lake

Please, Red Bull, I'm begging you - pull a Houston and rename!
If that were the case, I think it would be simply: KFC Salt Lake.

Yup, Red Bull Salzberg. I'm sure the new kits will have the same "cape" "maxipad" style pink with the bulls logo in the middle.

red bulls

Been a while since I posted but I am getting excited for the season. Unfortunately I have to agree with the blog that one of you referenced. This to me is a very bad sign for out league. I can understand wanting to bring in new investors but why did they change the name to include the prodcut!? That to me is unacceptable. I can understand putting the sponsor on the name of the stadium, but I am so upset for what I perceive as an insult to the integrity of our league. Are we that desperate?!?! Can we as fans petition the league to reconsider? I mean this is bad enough to warrant it.

i'm thinking this is the post that says Red Bull bought Salzburg in 04/05

After the takeover Red Bull changed the club's name, management and staff, declaring "this is a new club with no history".

I know it has been done in other leagues...but just because they did it somewhere else doesn't mean they have to do it here. Even if they let it go in Austria, it doesn't mean we have to follow suit. The reality is that there probably isn't much that can be done, but like the 1836 case...if enough people express concern things/names can change.

The traditional supporters tried to resist the radical changes and formed their own movement: http://violett-weiss.at in order to regain some of the tradition. Several fanclubs throughout Europe voiced their support in what they saw as a fight against the growing commercialisation of football.

But after 5 months of protests, and talks between the club owner and the traditional fans, no compromise was reached. Thus, on September 15th 2005, the "violet" supporters stated that the talks had finally failed and they would end their efforts.

Since then two separate fan groups are in existence: The "Red-Whites", who support the management and the "new" club, and the "Violet-Whites", who want to preserve the 72-year old tradition, but will not support the new club.
i don't think they care nor will it change.
