My Boeing Numbers

I'm digging some of my post counts lately.

There was 717.
Then 727.
Then 737.
And just now 757.
I'm looking forward to 767, 777 and the dreamliner, 787.

🙂

My worry is the amount of "engineering" for airplanes that is done in science-be-damned Wichita, Kansas.

Hell my job was taking the crap that Wichita sent us and fixing it so it actually worked. All the engine and engine-to-wing strut structural components are manufactured in Wichita and shipped by rail to Everett/Renton to be put on the plane. Before they get there they stop at Boeing Field in Seattle for other components, when is when we got to look at them and fix any issues that were found.

This is your job as a rocket science, right?

Do I regret this? No. I believe his tissue has made me stronger. I now have the strength of a grown man and a little baby.

Actually was my job. I'm now in software testing after the downturn of the aerospace industry in the late 90's, otherwise known as Boeing giving the inmates (M-D execs) the keys to the asylum.
