Germany - USA (R)

Mein Deutsch ist sehr schlecht.

It looks like Klein is on for Wolff in the 18th minute.

Still scoreless.

I can't read German. Have their fans lynched Klinsmann yet?

Hey, thanks Jose Luis! I couldn't get ANYTHING in the way of a matchtracker. Can't read German either, but get the general idea.

Interesting, Eddie Johnson is out there.

A good outing today could lead towards a big European payday for GAM.

9 shots in the first 28 minutes, 6 for GER, 3 for USA. GER creating more chances, but it appears to be a fairly even game so far, all things considered. Zavagnin was just booked.

Finally got Matchtracker open! Anyone know anything about Wolff's injury? Maybe it opens the spot for someone else in WC'06

That's 3 more scoring chances than I expected the Vereinigten Staten to create during the entire game.

Neither team has had a shot on goal yet, though.

I called my house, and my dad said something about Wolff getting smacked in the face or something like that.

He said that we really weathered the storm in the first 10 minutes.

Well, now its 5 shots to 6. Have the Germans started booing yet? Anyone tying nooses?

Here's an interesting exercise:

-Copy the text from their play by play into Word or some other Windows application with a "Find" feature.

-Search for the word "Keller"

It came up "No matches" when I did it.

I expected to see at least 3 or 4 times, "Keller hung out to dry" or "Keller had no chance" in German.

Half time, 0-0.
