2006 attendance
Looking on the MLS website, both games so far today have had attendance over 18,000. Any word on what our slaes of tickets look like for the first home game?

After today's performance, estimates surely dropped by at least 1,000

Week 1 Attendance
It'd be nice to see RSL pull in 23k or so.

LA-NE : 27,000
Houston - CO : 25,462
FC - NY : 23,028
Chivas - RSL : 20,739
FCD - Chicago : 19,377
KC - Crew : 18,143

Houston unprepared for large turnout, fans wait an hour to get into game

I'm cynical enough to wonder if they do it on prupose to make sure to get the press so people get it in their head that they're really popular.

From Soccer America comes a depressing stat that ought to really bother the folks that run FC Dallas: The DALLAS CUP U-19 Super Group opening day drew 17,105 fans to Pizza Hut Park Stadium as Manchester United downed Real Madrid, 3-2, and the Dallas Texans Red beat Mexico's Tigres, 3-2. So Man U, Real Madrid & Tigres youth teams draw better than the home town top flight team. Not good.
