Roberto Donadoni to coach RBNY?

Frank Dell'Apa has a note about Alexi Lalas leaving New York to run the Los Angeles Galaxy. Michael Lewis at Big Apple Soccer hears the same thing, and also hears that if Lalas goes so might coach Mo Johnston who could be replaced by Italian star and former Metrostar Roberto Donadoni (who was in New York for the Red Bulls home debut).

If Mo Johnston gets freed up, I say we nab him. Bye bye, El!

So you wouldn't want to wait until after the World Cup to see what Bruce is up to?

Can you post some links to Dell'Apa and Lewis's articles?

Heavy stuff.

Would Lalas to The Denny's Omlettes mean that Sampson is gone?

After France '98, Lalas said some pretty nasty things about him.

Ooh. I didn't even think of that part of it at all. Excellent point. You'd think so.

I still don't buy into Donadoni coming over to this side of the pond. He's just getting his foot in the door to play the version of musical chairs that is managing in Italy's top flight.

Now Zenga.... I could see that happening.
