What about the Arsenal team that went on that really long unbeaten streak a few years ago?

West Ham 1964 - 1966, hands down. A squad that included Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, and Martin Peters under Ron Greenwood. 'Arry Redknapp signed on with this team as a 17 year old in '64 also. This team had an FA Cup win, a European Cup Winners Cup win, and can take sole credit for the 1966 England World Cup Final Victory over W. Germany 4 - 2. Bobby Moore was captain, Hurst had a hat-trick (yes, a hattrick in the final match of the World Cup) and the other England goal was scored by Peters. Top of England, top of Europe, and top of the world, what more could one ask for?

No ARSENAL?!?!

The Arsenal team that went 49 straight unbeaten has to be the winner here! No other team in history has done what they did.
Gunners all the way to Champions League glory! :headbang:

Correction, 49 LEAGUE games.

Other teams have had longer unbeaten streaks when you consider all competitions. Even when that Arsenal team went 49 league games there were other English teams that had fewer losses when looking at all competitions.

I call that Arsenal 49 unbeaten league run for what it was...a statistical anomaly, historical accident, nothing more. And not only that, Arsenal is boring.
