RSL Fan blues

Is anyone out there a harmonica player, because i think i could write most of the lyrics to a song called "I've got the RSL fan blues." It takes a certain mindset to continue cheering on a losing team, but come on haven't we far exceeded that point? We are moving in to mass suicide territory here.

I most admit. I think I took last year quite well. I liked to think that I didnt really care if they won or lost, it was just fun going to the games. Well, last night I was seriously so depressed I could have cried (I might have if I wasnt surrounded by a bunch of other fans). Im really not too sure how much more I can take. I feel more sorry for the players as they must be even more depressed since we havent had a win in how long? October if we even count the Chivas game (so long before that I cant even remember if we dont). I think this is part of the problem. Do they have a team psychiatrist? If not, they certainly need one. And maybe they should have to also treat the fans. If they are not already doing it they should be practicing creative visualization and I suggest........yoga. Now that would be great to watch if nothing else. I dont know what was wrong with them last night...perhaps the formation (what was E thinking?), but in the first half we totally sucked. The second half was better but the moment we got our goal we let our guard down and once they scored, we did our typical curl up on the floor in the fetal position and give up mentality (the refs did not help). I really like this years team, as far as individual players go. There is no doubt in my mind that we have the talent we need to make the playoffs. We are just not playing together...and I hate to say it....there is no one to blame at this point except Ellinger...who I really like, but.... Im afraid is just not cutting it. Lets waive him and bring Tiger back, at least he was great for team...and fan moral. LOL After watching the post game nonemotion of both Pope (although I could tell he was extremely pissed off) and Ellinger I also think perhaps they all need to let off some steam and get really pissed off. Maybe get some boxing bags and go at it. Or some of those big padded sumo outfits and fight eachother. And perhaps.......just perhaps......practice for more than and hour or an hour and half...as I stated last year (although I dont know the rules on this or the league norm).

So, heres my question...if you were Ellinger...what would you do at this point (besides pack). I admit I know nothing about coaching and not all that much about the business of soccer, but here are my .02. First, really...hire a team psychiatrist and a motivational person....practice creative visualization, do team building excercises on and off the field. Do some yoga, some meditation, eat good food. Have fun. Secondly, practice as much as the league allows (if there are rules). I think we are having the same problems we had last year as we are just not used to eachother yet since we have so many new guys. They dont play together as a team. They dont instinctively know where the others players will be at any moment and they dont trust eachother enough. Thirdly, leave Mehdi in. Fourth, although I like the silliness.......shave the porn staches...perhaps its a curse. Fifth, buy the fans antidepressants and a few brewskis (I know...not a good combination).

Ok, I will stop my sarcastic banter now. I love our team, I know we all do here, but in reality....its going to be really hard to sell tickets to a team that cant win. And that, in the end is whats it all about here (hate to admit it). So, chin up everyone. Go out and buy your porn staches and big hair for the LA game and lets go out there like we are the best team in the league and kick some Galaxy nalgas.

PS...Garlick rocks (but he needs support).

Keep your chin up. You could be a Colorado fan with nothing to show for your ten years in the league other than a Rocky Mountain Cup won over a first year expansion squad.

Life's not that bad, yet.
