Very, very cool.
Coventry is the 8th largest city in England. Two Tone ska bands The Specials and The Selecter are both from Coventry - one of The Specials' best known hits, Ghost Town was written about the city. In 1987 they won the FA Cup, beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 in the final after extra time. In 1991-1992, they were in the inaugural Premier League. They stayed in the Premier Leage through the 2001 season. Gordon Strachan served as player-coach city between starting 1995. Strachan kept Coventry safe from relegation until 2001, when they finally went down after 34 years of top division football. They are presently in 11th place in The Championship. Dion Dublin played for city from 1994 to 1998. John Hartson has played for them as well. Robbie Keane played for Coventry from 1999 to 2000, where he scored 12 goals in 34 games Currently, Coventry City has the legendary Dennis Wise. Stern John also plays for them. __________________ "I think people fancy me. They can't figure me out. I'm an attractive guy. I make good money and I score goals. And for all those folks that just can't bring themselves to support BYU here is a nice link so you can wear the correct colors on the 12th. 😉

Currently, BYU is scheduled to play the night before. Not a good way to prepare for a big match like this, even if it is a friendly...

I've been a Coventry fan for years, although they're not my favorite team in England (that would be Everton).
Good to see the Sky Blues headed to Utah. __________________

Well I have tried here and here to find tickets and info on this, to no avail.
also tried here since it will, reportedly, be at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Please post any ticket purchasing info as it becomes available. Thanks.

Do you think this game could be played as a double-header with an RSL friendly??? July 12th is a Wednesday...RSL plays the Saturday before and the Saturday after. So, maybe one of the Extra Game tickets for season ticket holders will be valid for admittance...if RSL has a friendly that night as well. The reason I say that is, why would BYU play in RES??? Seating???
BYU is accustomed to playing games on back to back nights. Most PDL teams do that, so it won't be anything new or out of the ordinary. Coincidently, the team they play the night before will be the Ogden Outlaws. __________________ Last edited by RSL_Fan : 04-25-2006 at 09:33 AM.

South Field (where Utah Blitzz played games a few years ago) has a very well maintained pitch, but seating is somewhat limited. Perhaps we will indeed see a double header. In any case, I'll be in attendance to see what English football looks like.
