Well I nailed it. It was sort of a slow game, no intensity on either side really. The two USA goals were very nice though. But the U.S. got the three points, and that's all that matters.

Now our boys have got to get ready for a much tougher opponent in a much meaner atmosphere... if they play at the same intensity with which they played yesterday, Mexico will rip us apart. Keller had to make way too many great saves yesterday against a relative minnow.

According to my trusty calendar, the Mexico game is on March 27. I'm sure it will be on ESPN2, at the very least...

According to ussoccer.com the game is indeed March 27, but this claims that it will be played at noon CT (?) and shown live on Telemundo. If that is true, that sucks. Why are they playing these games at such weird times, and why is USA-Mexico not on ESPN2?????

As they say in Portuguese, “Pode esperar sentado…”

According to the commentary yesterday, we’ve never won in Mexico…

The 27th is a Sunday, so that's not so bad.

As for the ABC/ESPN networks, I don't know why they wouldn't show it. Maybe they're pulling one of those last-minute things they're so famous for...

Usually when Telemondo gets game then ESPN doesn't. I checked the March 27 listings for ESPN2 and it only had womens college basketball.

I suspect Fox Soccer Channel will carry this, as they have in the past.

Noon on Sunday in Mexico City = Maximum heat, maximum smog, maximum number of Tri fans looking for revenge for Jeonju.

Home teams negotiate their own TV rights; so whoever pays the FMF the most will get this one.

Telemundo can sell commercials & during-game graphic ads for a lot more than ESPN or FSC can.

Fox Sports World now Fox Soccer Channel carried every other friendly/WCQ that ESPN didn't (except El Salvador, but El Salvador is evil).
I think they will carry it.
I emailed Oliver at SoccerTV to find out the skinny.
