The proposed line-up shows steps in the right direction...

However....Akwari is as bad or worse than Brown on the outside...have him and Talley switch positions...

Just because Ballouchi is listed as left mid doesn't mean he will have to stay there. In the 4-4-2 with 2 forwards who actually play forward (not Andy who plays withdrawn forward sliding to the right no matter where he is listed on your lineup) there should be room for Ballouchi to slide to the middle to be part of the build up...DS likes to make rampaging runs from the mid slot forward, but is not a good quarterback...I think the quarterback role gets handed to Ballouchi...here's hoping he does well with it.

Whatever. I think we win by at least one probably more.

He didn't use the word "guarantee." Nor did he "promise" or "assure" anything. But when asked when Real Salt Lake's torturous winless streak might finally come to an end, coach John Ellinger did not hesitate even a moment.
"Saturday," he said.

Oh, and by the way..

veteran Nelson Akwari replacing Chris Brown at right back.
"I'm hoping to be a fixture in the lineup for the rest of the year," Akwari said.

Tell me this is a bad dream!

Midfielder Andy Williams, then, will remain on the bench - which is where Ellinger put him and Cunningham at halftime of the Galaxy game, because of a lack of effort. And though Cunningham seems to have moved on and bounced back, Williams has moped around practice this week, and looked dispirited during a long post-workout conversation with assistant coach Peter Mellor on Thursday.
Afterward, Williams sat on the sideline alone for some time, his head in his hands, before walking slowly to the locker room.

Not good! This ol' prima donna syndrome...

The Crew's Rusty Pierce will be facing his old team for the first time on Saturday, but says he feels no extra motivation despite being cut loose amid RSL fears that he couldn't stay healthy.
"There's no motivation or anything like that," the defender said. "Salt Lake is a place that I would have been happy with staying at, but in hindsight, I think it's probably a good decision for me and my career to move on to get with a medical staff that we can trust."
Ouch! That's low...

I remember during the Coach's Show, Ellinger mentioned Rozenthal as being a main weapon for the Village People. He said that Rozenthal was still trying to get into shape, but he is dangerous. He also said that they were on a Youth Movement.

Does anyone remember anything else that he mentioned about the Crew?

We have seen Rosenthal here before... IIRC he scored in the Catolica match last season.
This is him....

Where's John Malkovich when we need him?

He did a pretty good job at beating up Nicholas Cage in "Con Air".

Keys to the match:

The Crew haven't had a lot of offensive firepower this season, so most the keys to the match reside internally:

1) Can Harris and Cunny combine to make something happen?
2) Can Ballouchy become the playmaker that RSL desperately needs?
3) Can Williams snap out of his pity party and show up?
4) Since we will be without Williams (at the start at least) and Kreis we will really need the flanks to step up offensively: Klein and Johnson.
5) Can Akwari keep from making costly mistakes?
6) Will we see Christian Jimenez?

Rosental is one of those guys that you'd expect to be at the bowling ally 6 days per week wearing his Iron Maden t-shirt, but you'll be unwise to think he's not an athlete.

Nic Cage? No, that's Trey Parker. (Looking a lot like Cartman.)
