Where are we recruiting?

Its a silly time to focus on this but I just read that FC Dallas signed an Argentine defender over the weekend. FC Dallas is catching on to the DC United trend. I am a fan of Argentine soccer and biased but I have to ask why hasn't the rest of the league, especially RSL, caught on that there is a bargain to be had there. (Scholes can complain all he wants but its true). Where are we recruiting, Europe? Fat chance at a classy player at that exchange rate. The Carribean? Well . . . that would be the status quo. Argentina and Brazil are two countries with players coming out of their ears and not all of them can go to Europe. . .and the purchase power of the dollar is strong there right now.

"It's Springtime for Hitler and Germany"

Maybe we have become The Producers.

Dave is Sandbagging the team by keeping Ellinger and not making any player moves.

Then, fans will stop showing up because we are the 99 Metrostars cubed.

Then, Dave will say that he can't make money here and move the team to south Jersey or Sedona or wherever he already has a stadium deal worked out.

Ha! It certainly seems that way. I guess we should just be thankful that nothing else is going wrong right? Unfortunately I think the last thing on anyone's mind is recruiting new players. (but River won last night, between RSL and River its been a rough year).

As for River:

Libertadores (R)

Nuf sed..........

As for us:

We've got a senior international riding the bench and Nelson Akwari is going to start in front of him?

Dave is tanking the team.

Are Ogden Outlaws tickets cheap?

Right on. Cabrera has either got to play or go. He's a great guy, very humble and totally flexible with coaching (according to a friend of mine that gets in the locker room at games). I thought he played alright given the amount of pressure he was under. The bottom line though, is play him or cut him free. We need to maximize senior international slots and we aren't doing it with Cabrera.

I agree. It's time for Cabrerra to play. The defense has give up 11 goals in 5 games and what does Ellinger do? He's shakes up the veterans on the offensive end of the pitch. Come on E, maybe it's time to partner Cabrerra with Pope and Torres.

And I do agree on the recruiting. IIRC the team still has a SI and would be well served bringing in a good two-way CM. He doesn't need to be the next Roy Keane. Just someone who get the job done. I love Cutler but he needs someone he can dump the ball to cuz he's still struggling in making good passing decisions. And someone other than Williams in the middle would serve well to compensate for el bulbo wen he's off trying to sneak a sip out of the opposing GK's water bottle. 🙂

You have to worry that they will waste the SI's when they get desperate. They need to always have an eye on the available talent and make them count when they do it. We had so many wasted spots last year it made me want to cry. wah.

Maybe up the 15?

RSL staffer JC Perea was at a meeting of the Ogden Premiere League. They are going to organize a series of games so that RSL's coaching staff can see the best players, the article says.
