Add scrubs Aerick and you have 36% of your tivo being used (12%/show/year)

The DVR problem becomes worse when you start taping shows in HD which is how I'm going to want to tape the WC games. I can only fit about 40 hours of HD on my DVR. That's just not going to cut it. That's only 16 games. I guess I'm going to be selective about which ones I watch in HD and which ones I record on the other DVR in regular TV. Hopefully, between the two I can get them all on there.

Record, watch, erase. that's what i'm doing. I told my wife this weekend what I am going to try and do. She didn't look to pleased (she thought it was just for one week).

I have 3 weeks to make the deal sweeter for her.

I'm sure that's what I'll end up doing as well. I was hoping to save the games, but I guess I'll only be able to save some of the really good ones.

If you can get the games to me in either mini-DV tape or some digital format, I can make some DVD's. Then you can remember the games forever!

Record, get to Dysko, then delete. I can save them for you!

Tivos I can help with. Anything else may be different. If you want to list the model/brand, I'll see what I can find...

If I could do that, I could make my own DVDs. The problem that I'm having, along with others it appears, is getting it off the DVR and into some other kind of digital media.

I'm sure that most of them will be available for download off the internet. I'll probably just download those and burn them to DVDs.

Comcast's official response is that they don't help with the technical aspect of pulling data from their DVR units.

Remus: My DVR is a Motorrola DCT6412. Although, it has a USB 1.1 port on the front. I wonder if it's as simple as plugging in my laptop...

Yeah my DVR will be working over time next month as well. Just need to get all those 24, Alias and Lost episodes off there.

Can't wait to watch all the WC games.

Here's info on how to get the data off of a Motorolla 6412 (may work with other models as well) using firewire:
