Supporters Challenge

If this is a duplicate thread, please delete.

I'm just making sure that everyone is onboard with the supporters challenge. The date for this match is on May 27 and it's going to be broadcast on ESPN2.

Last year, with the combined support of the RCB and the loyalists, RSL demolished all other teams' supporters groups and we got the title "the best fans in MLS."

This year we're trying to repeat. I know that the RCB is off to a good start and the loyalists I know who know about this are also doing awesome. The only reason I put this here is because for many people this is their source of information.

I'm sure Loyal1 (Glenn) or others who are in charge of the loyalists' ticket sales have all the details on how much to sell them for and where to get them and have probably e-mailed information to all paying loyalists. There's a section on the RCB boards as well that is detailing how well we're doing this year.

So anyway, let's kick some a$$ and keep the title of "best fans in MLS!"

I'm with 'ya.

Last year I'm sorry to say I spaced it off and didn't even sell one ticket. I'm on board this year though.

KUDOS to all of you making the effort. I've been trying to introduce family members and friends to the 'beautiful game' (one reason why I wasn't sitting in my usual spot last weekend) and will continue to do so. Sadly, I have to be out of town Memorial Day weekend (will be watching the match on ESPN hopefully) but good luck to all of you in what effectively is a recruitment of new potential fans.

Is there going to be someone in charge of whoring tickets the last day?

I know that with the help of some a few people putting out flyers and such I was able to sell about 100 that way last year.

I'm not sure the FO wants to do that. I know they didn't like doing so last year because it just takes normal tickets sales and sells them for cheaper.

It's best if we pre-sell the tickets.

I haven't heard anything about this yet as far as efforts to sell are concerned. I knew it was coming up, but haven't heard when we should start or all of the details.

Additionally, I heard the coach of my sons team talk about it a couple of weeks ago. He was telling the kids on the team to talk to their parents about having them all attend at half price. How did he become aware of the details and not me????

Put down that herbal tea. Herbal tea is for closers.

A guy at work coaches his kid's team; and he is thinking about bringing his team.

Feel free to sell as many as you want. I will personally get them to whoever needs them. PM me, email me, whatever. I'll get them to you. The Loyalists are including the tailgate and the tix are $13. I know the RCB is selling them for $10 sans tailgate.

Aerick, I know I starting telling my son's club about this a few weeks ago and have sold quite a few to the players families. I can't speak for anyone else, though.

The $3 covers the price of the tailgate. Its the same "donation" we always ask for. No pocketing. We just want to encourage people to gather at the tailgate before the game.
