The pathetic thing at this point is that even if RSL does win tomorrow, we will still be in the rock bottom cellar of the MLS table.

If we don't win, then well... you can imagine what sorry shape we will be in. It will take a lot of shovels to dig us out of that hole...

Is Watson back at practice? I see where he has been taken off the injured list..

Watson played the second half in the most recent reserves match.

According to MLSNet the lineup tonight will be:

--------Garlick
-Akwari-Talley-Torres
----Cutler--Williams
-Klein-----------RyJo
-------Ballouchy
---Kreis-----Cunningham

Ballouchy is playing A-MID! But I don't understand the Williams in D-Mid thing. I say give Besagno some time and start with four in the back (add in Forko), then sub Besagno in if any D's are tired and have Besagno and Cutler play D-Mid together.

Other than that, a pretty good lineup.

LA's lineup:

------------Cronin
-Ihemelu-Veris-Marshall-Duninvant
----Vagenas-------Nagamura
-----------Grabavoy
---Jones--------------Thiago
------------Ngwenya

I don't know how that will work, considering Grabavoy and Ngwenya were traded......

That's a very interesting lineup. Is MLSNet just making a good guess, though? I actually think Williams is a talented -- albeit questionably dependable -- defender. In the end, this would turn out to be a very offense-oriented line-up.

With Donovan and Grabavoy gone, I'm more concerned about containing the wings and less about the middle. We always manage to make Cobi Jones look like he's 24, and the Galaxy seemed to be able to cross in at will the last time we played them. Wonder if 4 in the back would be a better idea.

I do like the front 5, though (as I'm assuming most of us do), with my main concern being the lack of height up top. Wouldn't be opposed to something like Kreis-Atiba with JC coming on as a super-sub around the 60th or something to that effect.

I think this lineup would produce a goal, and save us the embarrassment of losing 3-0. Prediction: LAG 3, RSL 1

Man, I thought I was a pessimist! Why stop there? Go with 6-1. Sounds more like a beating.
Geeze!
