In today's SL Tribune print version, there's an 8 page Xango Cup advertising section. It has some Poster Quality pictures of Eddie Pope and the middle section is a big poster sized picture with players from both teams.

Any guesses on how badly RSL will embarrass itself on Saturday in front of a worldwide audience?

The Merengues could potentially get the score into double digits; that's true.

But why would they want to go full speed at 1400 + meters of altitude, in 30 C heat, with a long season ahead?

They're gentlemen. They'll give us 15 minutes "free" without trying to score. They'll even allow our boys some possession time. Then they'll turn it on for 5 minutes, score 3 times, then sit back and only fire off a shot when they'd be insulting the soccer gods and the stadium full of fans by not doing so. End result: Real Madrid 7, Real Salt Lake 0

They'll let our guys get the ball settled,and probably allow every player 2 touches before trying to take the ball from us.

What I am really excited about is seeing what kind of substitutions Ellinger makes. That will probably provide the most entertainment of the day.
