So yes tomorrow is the deadline for a venue announcement

In the lastest communiqué RSL have slightly modified the original statement to the following

Friendly Reminder!!!

Season ticket holders...Keep your "A" and "B" game ticket for the Real Madrid match. You will need BOTH tickets to gain entry.

From RSL e-mail:
Quote:
Real Madrid: The Real Madrid game is confirmed for August 12th. Season seat owners will be admitted to this game as part of their season package by using both “A” and “B” tickets. Please hang on to your “A” ticket as that will be the one that gets you in the gate on August 12th. You will not be able to get into the game with your “B” ticket. Your seat assignment for the game will be the same if the game takes place at Rice-Eccles stadium or equivalent if played at another venue. We always take care of our clients first, so season seat owners will have first priority to purchase additional tickets. Game prices are not yet available, but I recommend you contact your sales representative to be placed on a waiting list. Please encourage all those you know who are interested in the Real Madrid to become season seat owners by calling 1(866)9-SOCCER, so that they can take advantage of your same benefits.

A good article giving the benefits and drawbacks of both RES and LES.

(Thanks Arelius for looking up news stories everyday so we don't have to.)

My perception was that the A ticket would get you into the match, and the B ticket would not be used (so subsequent 'extra' games would use tickets C and D) Probably a good idea to hold onto all of them just in case however.

That is a good article but there is absolutely no mention of the political pressure being applied by the knobheads in the county council over the venue choice.

The Tribune front page of the website indicates they will announce tomorrow at a noon press conference the match will be at Rice-Eccles.

Dear RCB...

aren't you glad you purchased season tickets so that we can enjoy this one as a group. I'm so happy we'll be able to call Beckham a wanker together.

So what pressure is behind making this bad decision... I would like the SSS downtown like most others, but way pay an additional $100K to put in grass and either lose money by not being able to sell and additional 20K seats or raise the prices to where some people will not be able to afford tickets?
