Wasson headed it in from Harris' spot on defending corners. Harris' job on corners is to protect people from crashing in on Garlick and clear out crosses like the one Wasson put in. Without Harris, Pope, and Sequiera our defense on set pieces is weaker. It's Talley, Torres, and Novak on the post.

It needs to be addressed in training this week.

That last pic of Talley and Forko is great! It needs a caption, though. Something like, "NO, not me! Don't pass to me!" 🕺

If anyone still thinks that RSL can get along just fine at RES as a long-term solution, all they need to do is watch a tape of this game.

I'm not kidding when I say this. You've got to be one of the premier photographers for MLS! Your pictures are fantastic!

Wow thanks Aerick and Jim....
I appreciate the accolades very much but I am far from one of those... I still have alot to learn and you guys only see the very best of what i shoot... I delete or don't use alot more than gets put on the site...

If you guys want to see the premier photographers of MLS check out the rest of the guys on ISI and at the official MLS photo site... (that guy who shoots the RSL matches for MLS seems to be everywhere at just the right time, an when i grow up... I will be like that)

But thanks for your encouragement.

Got back from Las Vegas where I watched the match on ESPN2 (after missing the first 20 minutes while a college lacross match was finishing). Definitely a strange match. We sure caught a break on the hand ball out side of the box, but of course we've a few of them in the box not get called over the last 2 years. Seems as though the last few matches we are finally starting to get some of the bad calls in our favor as things start to balance out.

One thing of note, the Tribune article implied the back-pass to the goalie which was not called, should have been a penalty kick. If I am not mistaken, this violation calls for an indirect kick from the spot of the infraction.

I thought the same thing.

I've always thought that it was a penalty, unless it's been changed.

It was a penalty for England in the '02 World Cup...
I remember it was Michael Owen jumping up and down and pointing at the goalkeeper... The official came running up and pointed to the spot.

I remember turning to my buddy and saying "what the hell just happened?
I always thought the keeper could use his hands inside the box."

He explained that the ball was kicked back to the keeper by his own player and the keeper could only handle if it were headed or chested back to him by his own player.

It was apparently a rule introduced to prevent teams with a lead in a match from delaying the run of play by kicking it back and having the keeper hold on to the ball. at least that is what I understand anyway.

I scratched my head and said Oh!
