who should i decide to follow?

I've decided to put myself 100% into following the premiership from today on. Only question now is, who do i give my loyalties to? i can be a girl and go by the best colors or kits, and the players change so often yelseou can't pick by them. So . . . who should i follow?

Man U
Chelsea
Arsenal
Liverpool
Fulham

or do i pick a newcomer
Watford
Reading FC

i am 99.956543% leaning toward Reading FC.

Any arguements? PLEASE TELL ME WHY??? And why SHOULDN'T i choose Reading?

Where are you from?

I'm completely biased, I support Liverpool, but I think the most important thing in finding a team is finding a connection to one, something that makes you feel linked to it. Whether that's a family heritage or a favourite place you have visited or would like to visit, it might be that you love a particular thing about England, castles, the countryside, big city lights feel, maybe there is an accent you like? Maybe you have other things you like about England and that could be the association to a particular area or city?

Reading is a beautiful city on the River Thames and has some very pretty walks, it is a real tech area in terms of the companies that are there but beware - the chances of Reading staying up are reasonable but not strong so are you prepared to pick a team and stick with it come rain or shine? If hey go down are you going to be looking for a team again in a year?

Maybe the American factor plays into it for you, but that gives you a few other choices to look at.

Anyway maybe you could post some things you like about England, some connections you can find and then I think we'd find it easy to suggest a few options.

Do you have a favorite player? I started following Arsenal when they got Bergkamp. That's how I became an Arsenal fan.

My recommendation (if you haven't done so) is take a year and watch the EPL. I thought I would choose a team before watching any matches. I did and 'Boro had a good tourny year (horrilbe epl season). I constantly found myself pulling for Aresenal. Maybe because of Henry, maybe because of the fans, maybe because of Bergkamp. I always found myself cheering for them. That's why I decided to become a gunner fan.

I started following Arsenal because Forest went down... and no self respecting Forest fan will follow Notts County or Derby County (I still follow Forest it is just harder to get news about them outside of their website)
Also because my ex-wife hated the gunners... LOL That just made me watch them... since then I have watched them alot and will follow them even when Forest come back up... But then Forest will be first

Also no one outside of Manchester or London inside of England follow United or Chelsea... they are the teams everyone in England love to hate! So don't be a bandwagoneer and follow those sorry teams... grow some and follow your own team for your own reasons... through thick and thin!

Go Forest!
Go Gunners!

Because of McBride, I find myself becoming attached to Fulham. I also like the name of their stadium; Craven Cottage is a great name for a home ground.
