For Ronaldinho, go here.

The Golden Ball award is for the outstanding player of the tournament. The Golden Shoe award is for the highest scoring player. All of the players I put here are forwards.

All of the candidates that I put for the Golden Ball award are midfield playmakers. I know that is simplifying things a bit, but for the poll's sake, I had to make some choices.

I was on my mission in '98 - Guatemala, WC on everybody's TV, and remember Croatia's run and Suker's scoring title. I had thought he tied though. Never got to see the third place match. Was he tied with Batistuta with 5 goals, and scored one in the third place match?

Looks like no clear leader yet for this award as opposed to the Golden Ball...
