Actual results (in case you didn't already know):

England 1, Paraguay 0. Kinda of a disappointing result from England, but hopefully they're just starting slow. Still, it's 3 points.

In other news. T&T is making a valiant effort in holding off the Swedes with a 0-0 score at halftime. Let's go Soca Warriors!!!!!!

the T & T vs. Sweden game has been a very entertaining game to watch! Way more so than the England Paraguay one!

I agree! Still scoreless in the 84th minute! T&T only playing with 10 men since about half!!! Freakin' amazing!

The 0-0 draw was easily the most exciting match of the WC so far. Great intensity and loved the contrast of the frustrated Swedes vs. the jubilant T&T'ers.

Couldn't get into the Eng-Par game. Sloppy and boring play. England was good defensively but lacked...anything...offensively.

On another note, a lot of Mexican flags flying in my neighborhood today. I figure by the time I get back from church there will either be rioting or partying in the streets.

Yes that was an exciting match...

The Argentina v Ivory Coast match was totally frustrating... that Ref was as bad as any MLS ref... I don't mind total :pooh: reffing as long as it is equally :pooh: for and against each team... but Ivory Coast were playing 11 men against 12 men and the 12th was the ref!

Tomorrow's Iran v Mexico match is going to be the hardest in the world cup to watch... I mean it is even worse than Blackburn v ManU...

I have to decide which team I hate worse... So...
Just like I would always take ManU over Blackburn but only because I hate Blackburn more than any team on earth except Mexico... I think I am going to have to be consistent and always root for whatever team is playing Mexico... so against any better reasoning... Go Iran!

I'm not even going to watch it. Although, part of me wants to route for all of the CONCACAF teams. The better the CONCACAF teams do, the better it is for the whole region. Kind of like routing for the U of U when they're playing non-conference games, and/or have a top 25 ranking.

Perhaps you can use this logic instead and not have to route for Iran.
