Surprises of the Cup so far

Well, we've seen all 32 teams at least once. A few comments of suprises so far.

Positive surprises:

Ecuador: 2 sound 3-0 whippings of their opponents, including Poland.

T&T: Held off mighty Sweden (0-0) in their opener. Let's see if they are as lucky vs. Engerland.

Australia: Thrashed Japan (3-1) and presently stand atop their group.

Spain: The new Brazil beats Ukraine to a pulp 4-0.

Negative surprises:

France: Very lackluster opener vs. Switzerland.

USA: Is the Golden Age over?

Poland: A loss vs. Ecuador pretty much sent them packing since they haven't beat Germany in 85 years. A stoppage time Germany goal ensured the continuation of that losing streak.

You're right. I guess it just felt like 3-0.

Is the Ukraine over Tunisia really that much of an upset?

This is the Ukraine's first WC. Almost all of their players play in the Ukraine or Russia.

Tunisia has attended the WC in three other occasions. Tunisian players play throughout all of Europe.
