I think Clint Mathis and Melvin Tarley would have played better than those two did in all of the three matches...
Actually, I was hoping we would see MORE of EJ, not less. I am still befuddled as to why we didn't start or at least see him at half time.

Because he sucked ass in every single minute he was in the matches... he walked around with his chest puffed out and would not move his ass unless the ball was put on the end of his foot with white gloves and a little pink bow...

I think Arena was wise for not hurting our chances more by giving him more minutes...
Johnson was atotal waste of space.

His lack of speed sure showed today. The Ghanans looked like world-class sprinters.

If we show video of Landon in any game or maybe Beasley against the Czech Republic; an immigration judge would give Mehdi Ballouchy US citizenship on the spot.

Or, maybe one of the single Cavaliers or Loyalists can marry him?

Actually, Donovan is quite dangerous in MLS but he proved this WC that he isn't the World Galactico that he says he is...

News Flash!

Landon Donovan was seen at the 2006 World Cup dressed in a USA uniform and even playing on the field. Many will dispute this report.

While we can't prove that he actually played we do have footage of him drinking from a German water fountain.

Aside from one quality save against Italy, did he really stop any shot he shouldn't have? It just seemed he had been hyped to be a top keeper and all he could make were routine stops.

Why are we bagging on Beasley?

"We're walking, we're walking..."

He seemed uninterested.

I voted for Beasley and Donovan. Beasley, like Donovan, did NOT live up to the expectations. If this was Arena's fault, then so be it.

The thing that seemed apparent to me, was his lackluster energy during the Italy game. He should have been running "balls out" for the minutes he was in. He didn't. I was a bit more impressed with him during the Ghana game, but it wasn't enough to erase the bad marks during the Czech and Italian games.

Donovan's sole bright spot was the Italy game, but again, it wasn't enough to erase the crap that was the Czech and Ghanaian games.

I almost voted for McBride as well, but I think what he lacked in production he made up for in sheer effort and heart. And being the "sole man on the island" is a tough spot to be in against 3 and 4 defenders.
