Sergio Flores gets it DONE Utah's own Sergio Flores (known as Serg to friends) must be very versatile. The midfielder from Logan was used as a defender and was able to get business done during the Quakes/RSL game last week. He took care of both Alejendro Moreno and Ian Russell, both quality guys up front.
Then yesterday at the KC game, Serg came in for Jason Kreis as a forward and assisted on MF Luke Kreamemayer's goal in the 2nd half. :D NICE! Last edited by SoccerPrime : 02-18-2005 at 08:52 AM.

Did he score? From the boxscore in the other thread, it looks like he assisted Kreamalmewhatever on the last goal.

Sorry yeah, Flores didn't score, but he did have an assist and he did come in as a Forward sub for Jason Kreis. Still good work, right?
Just trying to pump up RSL's only Utah boy. 🙂

Yeah, I hope he does well. I guess technically he "scored" a point. Doesn't MLS keep track of assists, giving one point to a player for an assist, and two for a goal?

Yes Assists count as "points" in MLS stats.

Maybe Sergio will be our Carlos Llamosa?
(Llamosa was playing in the Long Island equivalent of the Liga Latinoamericana, when he signed with MLS.) Alejandro Moreno should have started every game for the Galaxy, and he's been called up by Venezuela. So if Sergio can handle Moreno, El Orgullo de Smithfield is The Real Deal.
