Which would be the Best World Cup Final?

Of the potential final match ups, which which would you like to see the most?

Argentina - England all the way! Talk about rivalry!

Although a rematch of last WC would be cool to see as well.

I would love to see that match up.

I think the only other rivalry match I would love to see would be Argentina/Brazil.

Germany will win the World Cup. Why? Its simple math:

'54 x '74 - 1990 = 2006

The first three numbers are the years in which West Germany won the World Cup, and the fourth is this year.

However, no European team has ever won the cup twice on home soil. So far, those who have hosted twice have split:

France 38: Italy won
France 98: France won

Italy 34: Italy
Italy 90: Germany

Germany 74: Germany
Germany 06: ????

Notice the possible parallels here:

Italy lost their semifinal on PK’s to ARG in 1990 and failed to win both home Cups. Germany then won the final. Could we see a vice-versa here with Italy taking the Cup on Germany’s home-sweep attempt?

Also, Italy was the first Euro team to win the Cup once, twice and thrice. Could they be the first to win four as well??

Here’s a quirky one that favors Brazil:

BRA BRA ENG BRA GER ARG ITA ARG GER BRA FRA BRA ???

These are th winners in order, the furthest left being '58 and the “???” being 06. Using ITA as center point (82) notice how the winners mirror eachother as you move outward in both directions with FRA and ENG being in the same spot as the one-time european home winners. In this pattern, Brazil would complete the mirror image. The real kicker in this scenario is that the first Brazil victory on the right was in Europe (Sweden) as is the current Cup tournament. It’s the only time a South American won on European soil.

Italy 82
Argentina 78 Argentina 86
Germany 74 Germany 90
Brazil 70 Brazil 94 England host that never won before 66 France, host that never won 98
Brazil 62 Brazil 02
Brazil 58 ? 06

Put Italy in the middle you will have perfect simmetry between the left and right side.

This is the equation that will prevail in the World Cup 2006:

Brasil won Cup in 1994, earlier in 1970
1970 + 1994 = 3964

Argentina 1986, 1978.
1978 + 1986 = 3964.

Germany 1990, 1974.
1990 + 1974 = 3964.

By this logic the winner in 2002 should be same as 1962!; 3964 -2002 = 1962. Brasil!

And 2006? 3964 - 2006 = 1958. Brasil!!!
