Italy 2 : 0 Germany.

The Italians aren't only playing for the World Cup, but for immunity.

Torsten Frings of Germany won't be playing tomorrow's semi-final, thanks to his role in the sordid aftermath of Argentina's dismissal. Karmically speaking, of course, this ban is actually the result of Frings' unpunished intentional handball against the USA four years ago.

Good prediction, Aerick!

That was a pretty good game today, but the last two minutes were by far the best. Go Italy!

The one positive thing from yesterday's match is that Klinsmann is now available to take over from Bruce Arena as the next boss of the USMNT.

I don't suppose we could interest him in RSL, could we?

I was thinking the same thing. 🙂

Although, I was also pulling for Italy to win.

By the way, yesterday's match was one of the best refereed matches of the WC. And it allowed for some real free-flowing footy! Congrats to Benito Archundia for doing such a great job.

After the game my wife remarked, "If the neighbors didn't know we were Italian fans, they do now... in fact everyone within a 20 mile radius knows."

Yeah, I was pretty excited. I wish I was in Italy again!
