Any takers on how badly we will get beaten on this game? Maybe we can start our reserve team and not get beaten so bad.

It's a good thing that they also play rugby & high school football at Victoria Street.
Because of that, they have a scoreboard that goes up to double digits. The Galaxy could start Andrew Shue today and still win.

I really don't think we will give up that many goals. We may not score, but....

a)about seven or eight fouls b)a yellow for Douglas c)a crappy ref d)the commentators trying to say Mehdi's name six times fast. and we don't have: a)Willis! b)any fouls suffered c)a goal This oughta be a fun game!

RSL's brainwashing of bordy is almost complete. I actually WILL be satisfied with a 0-0 final score.
One glaring note on the quality of goalkeeping: As I've been watching the WC, often Barthez gets criticized for "keeping things exciting". While it's true that he's less than conservative defensively, one thing that really sets him apart from , say, Garlick, is his distribution. It's really amazing to watch keepers around the world actually pass to their own teammates. Keepers like Barthez have great vision when passing the ball out and actually are instrumental in the build up of plays. Garlick, on the other hand, will just put his head down, take a running start, and boot the ball as far as he can, hoping for good things to happen. Thing is, more often than not, the opponent ends up with the ball. I'd say about 90% of the time so far in the first half. How can we expect to keep possession and score if our keeper keeps passing the ball to the other team? Arrgggh.

Last week, the Azteca America announcers had about 7 different pronounciations for Ballouchy's name. My favorite was "Bala-ouchy" ("Bala" means "bullet" in Spanish)

Ok. Now I'll be happy if RSL only loses 2-0. Also, another difference between Barthez and Garlick: Barthez will be starting for his team in his next game.
