Of the two, I'd probably pick Garlick.

I don't think it's a matter of just one bad game on Garlick's part. At a minimum he's shown he can be beat at the near post. Ovreall though I take more of the Nolly debate as a manifistation of this. If the team isn't going to make the playoffs, it's time to build for the future. And I don't think many folks see Garlick as being that even though in theory he could still have a few good years left in him.

Do you guys not remember having these same "Put Nolly in" debates during the season last year?

FC Dallas had a pretty decent keeper in Sala but they were not satisfied with being in first place in the west... they wanted first place in the league so they go out and get a great keeper in Shaka from West Ham United...

I think we need that same attitude in our coaching and FO staff... If it ain't working... let's fix it! no more excuses...

Hmmm... Garlick has a bad game again and you guys come up with "I wish we had Countess back..."
I am surprized no one has yet said "gosh DJ was cuter!"

If we are serious about improving our GK situation... then we need to pick up a quality keeper that is not in the twilight of his career that can come in and lead now... and allow Nolly to continue to develop in the Reserves.

Nolly is gonna be awesome when he is ready but I am sure you guys remember how quickly you wanted Countess back when Nolly was beat left, right and center in DC last season.

I don't think we have a keeper in our roster right now that is up to the task at the moment! Nolly is our future keeper but we need a keeper for today.

I never wanted Countess in the goal! I sure dont want him back either. Nolly could do no worse then Garlick does... and are front office will never bring in a goal keeper or any kind of upgrade anyway so we have to deal with what we got. What moves have the front office made this year?

Yup! That should have been what this year was all about. Bench everyone over 28.

Garlick has been successful. He was an upgrade from Countess, at least on paper.
But Garlick is older, near the end of his career.
It was only a matter of time.

Try Nolly, whats the worse that can happen? We lose?

I don't think we've had a single 5-1 loss all year. Those are always entertaining.

I would have liked to see DJ with Forko, Torres, Akwari/Pope, and Nowak in front of him. DJ could make some dramatic saves, but a number of goals were on the rebound.

Garlick watches the ball go by, does the "Andy Williams arms toss" in the air, and sits on the ground. All time best Garlick moment, and you guys can help me out. He got scored on, I think at Chicago, and being beat on the near post, he took it out on the post, and gave it a nice kick. I thought when he did that, "It's not the post's fault...dork!"

True. It would have been much more entertaining if he'd aimed the kick at the offending goal scorer.

According to very reliable sources...DJ was a cancer in the locker room...Garlick isn't very good, but the other players at least try to play for him.

With that being said, there is no chance in he$$ that RSL makes the playoffs this year, so there is no reason to play Garlick if we are trying to groom Shrek.

Countess over Old-Man Garlick ANYDAY!

Since I can't have that, put Nolly in.
