Many people (myself included) won't be able to make it at such a late hour. Call me uncommitted to the cause if you like, but I hate driving I-15 at night with Utah's awesome attempts at road lines. :D

5-10 of us show.
"dear fans, sell tickets to the May 27th match."
some of us do it.
organizing is rough. especially when people don't want to do it. I"m just calling it as is.

For lots of us, Friday morning is when we are at or on the way to work .

As far as next week, a gathering right after the match might be feasible. I for one (usually take TRAX anyway) will hop downtown on the train Wednesday night. Hope a lot of us will be there. Of course since that would have a lot of us who work in the morning getting home late and others have kids to consider, I realize it isn't possible for many fans to be able to be there.

Now we could fight them with conventional weapons. But that would take years and cost millions of lives.

Rabble2 is right on this.

Showing up on early in the morning on a work day = Apples

Showing up when you're just a couple of miles away already = Oranges

Help me out here, folks. I'm drawing a blank

I have the same reservations, Fue. I don't think this can pulled off with any type of success, and it may even come off as a few fanatics that are just expressing the opinion that everyone already knows they have. I think the community knows that the soccer fans already support any stadium deal.

That's not what we're combatting here. We're combatting misinformation and lack of vision. I'm not sure that a show of unity is the solution - besides the problem with organizing.

You'd probably have to have something akin to the million man march to get people rethinking things. Obviously not with a million people, but with more than 20 or 30. I think if you got 200 people or more to stage a rally somewhere, accompanied by speeches on the facts of the stadium, that that would get press and coverage to the degree that it might help sway sentiment. Anything less, wouldn't matter. Problem with something like that is that it takes some serious organization - or mob mentality to pull it off.

Yes it is rough... but I will be there. I can't even make the game (most likely) but I will be at Ch. 2 Wednesday night.

If anyone else wnats to come or help spread the word that is great. If not I may be there with a few of my friends. But, it is something that I know that I can do. I am frustrated as can be with the situation right now, but I am going to do everything that I can.

This is one thing I can do. Will it have any effect? Who knows. Is it to little to late? Perhaps. But I will still do it, even if I end up being a loner "fanatic" out there in my RSL jersey with a sign. I will be there.

Again I am hearing alot of what we CAN'T do and what won't work and why it won't work?

I am still not hearing anything that might work...

Are we all really that negative?

Seriously?

Kudos to IBIK and Aerick onb the emailing campaign... that is awesome.
Keep up the awesome work...

What the rest of us need to do is follow their example... Stop shooting every idea down and start coming up with ideas that will work...

I don't know who said it but it still rings true...
If you are not part of the solution... you are part of the problem!

when will we hold accountable the true problem and stop blaming 4 fans for being a part of it (in your eyes anyway)?

If/when the team packs up and leaves. As I've said before, finger-pointing doesn't help a single thing right now, and only hinders options and action.

Fuegote... what is your motivation here?
Are you here to wave bye as the team leaves? Or just wallow in self pity?

I know you are mad at Checketts and whoever else...
So am I?

But what is done is done... we cannot change that. having a witch hunt to hold people accountable for a situation that is not over is counter-productive. We will have plenty of time to do that IF they move... but right now why don't you be a little more positive...

you are a leader on this and your forum... why don't you lead instead of give up like you blame checketts of doing...

I am deuce. I've been leading from day one.

Speaking of which.... where is the leader of the Loyalists in all this? I'm sure a newsletter will go out saying we support the stadium.

Now you say I"m giving up. I am? thanks for checking with me. I still have a great supporter's group that is a blast.

To be a leader, you need goals and objectives.

Give me a realistic goal and let's see what we can do. Give me the same "let's do this, let's do that" and you're no more a leader than my shoe.
