So were there more people in Rice Eccles last night or at the Blitzz-Rapids friendly in 2000?

I would guess there were more in 2000. Last night I walked right up to ticket office (and as noted earlier this was right before kickoff) and got a ticket right away. In 2000, I arrived maybe 10 minutes before the match, and missed about 15 minutes of the game waiting to purchase a seat.

How many people were at the match in 2000? We probably had 2000 there for this one.

I wonder if Jamie's 1/2 done something to piss off of Ellinger. Maybe he hasn't changed the time on his alarm clock yet and is still late a lot? Yo no se. It's weird how last year in the USOC Watson gets the start and has a decent game. This year, as point out by others, RSL goes down a goal and not only takes off their biggest scoring threat and a very creative offensive player (I'd say most but Medhi was out there) but he fails to bring Watson in at a time when surely some of the legs in the Rapids backline were getting tired. I think Jamie's still got a ways to go to make it in the league but still, speed kills and RSL needed a goal. If RSL had started with a b-squad lineup it would be less confusing. But with the usual starters on the pitch, I'd say Ellinger wanted the win.

With Jamie's performance against DC, I was with Scholesy when he asked why Jamie wasn't getting more time. Ellinger made some interesting substitutions in this game. I think Atiba should have started with Jeffy coming in off the bench around the 60th minute, or Jeffy should have played the full 90. Why on earth did he bring in Sequeira for Williams?!?!?! Ellinger loves to play people out of position, make "interesting" substitutions, and his team rarely shows that it knows how to play with a one goal lead. PULL THE TRIGGER NOW, CHECKETTS!!!

Interesting!! no one seems to know what gives with this even Watson.. I've been to many practices and he's there before others so doesn't appear to be a late issue..I've overheard people in the FO and it's a mystery to them...At this point in the season, they need his speed and let's face it, he brings the level of play up for RSL..Coach needs to give more playing mintues to make it happen. It was nice to hear the fans chanting his name in the Open Cup game..

I didn't think he was a speedster, necessarily. More tenacity and energy than speed. I think other players are faster than he is.
