If this doesn't get Ellinger fired, I am done with RSL. Period. Thank god I can't make the game Wednesday. I would say more, but I don't want to get banned for language and tone and everything else.

Hopefully the worst loss RSL will ever have to endure.

It's interesting to see how people will quickly turn on Ellinger again even after the most successful month in RSL history. I guess you can take the fan out of the pessimistic situation, but you can never take the pessimism out of the fan.

I understand why Ellinger would put Akwari into the game. I don't understand why he'd take Medhi out. He can hold onto the ball under pressure better than any other player on the team. You're down and guy and just trying to find a way to grind out a tie; seems like holding on to the ball would help a lot in doing that.

How quickly they turn!!! Folks! This team has been the toast of MLS for the past couple of weeks, deservedly so, and one embarrassment and you won't support the team unless Ellinger is fired? Talk about your fair weather fan!

Has anyone heard anymore of this Cunningham yellow card situation?

At the end of the game Jeff went over to the refs and had a 'word' at which point as he walks away the ref flashes a yellow card but not directed at him only towards the stand.

It appears it is not in the match report and it was merley showed to Jeff to warn him if he didn't leave the field.

Jeff does not get a yellow according to the match report from the ref, it was a warning to him.

Thanks for the update. I missed your commentary watching the game on TV on an hour delay. (I also missed, well, the game of football.)

Every coach in the world whose team gives up 6 goals has a "Fire (Coach's name here) now" thread started or reignited.

Even if a Getafe or a Rayo Vallecano with their MLS-team-sized payrolls loses 5-0 to Barcelona, the fans of the Minnows will want the coach gone.

The only exception I can think of is when Sigi's Galaxy lost 5-0 to the Metrostars. That happened the same day or pretty close to the US - Portugal or maybe the US - Mexico game in Korea. Not too many Galaxy fans were paying attention.
