Flag Wavers (Trying not to be like Class VI here)

Okay. We decided (did we decide?) that we are going to have people responsible for waving flags.

I have almost all the flags. I will continue to bear the responsibility of taking the flags home every week, and caring for them.

A flag waver needs merely to show up and grab their flag from me, and wave it at the appropriate times during the games. Then return the flag to me. I'll take it home and care for it, and bring it back the next week.

You don't even have to be there every week. If you aren't there, I'll hand it to someone who is, and see how they do.

But I would really like to get some people who will actually wave the flag, so I want to make it your job. If you want to be a flag waver, just post here and say so.

And, to get you excited about the idea, here's a picture of the flag that the very first person who posts and volunteers will get to wave.

You can't wait can you? Okay, go ahead and post...

Okay, folks, volunteer #1. Jose Luis Luviano, he of the jester hat and tico chants, gets flag #1. Thank you very much for participating. I will put your name on it, and get it to you at the start of each game.

(by the way, I hope you never are actually in the bouncy house).

Now, for volunteer #2 (should I start a new thread for this?). Here is the flag you get to wave if you volunteer. It's the big six striper. It'll add a lot of color to our celebration. Act now, or it may go to someone else, and you'll wish you'd gotten it.

I love flags and I love waving them.

But I am more than willing to give up my flag if my daughter can have one.

She loves waving around the "Mini flags". Or at least she does for the duration of the 30 second attention span she has for anything.

There are usually some around, but just in case; I thought I should ask.

I have four mini flags already made, with two more in the process of being made. Your daughter will be able to wave one. I figured I'd start with the full size ones, and then move on to the smaller ones after the others are claimed. I'll go ahead and mark one of the mini flags claimed for her. After all, we have to keep the captain of the 2023 WWC champions happy, or we may not actually win that year.

If there was rep, you'd get it. Flag #2 is claimed. RSL_Fan is now the custodian...for two hours each week, of the beautiful six striper. Thank you very much for volunteering! While we were in the process of that one, a small size flag was spoken for by Jose's child, the captain of the 2023 WWC Champion USA team. So, of the 9 finished flags I have in my closet, there are 3 already spoken for. Don't let the next one pass you by.

And the next one is...my own personal favorite. This was the first flag I ever made.

I'll wave one but I'm usually on the front row and don't have a lot of room, so if you have one that's somewhere in the middle-ranging sizes, I'll take it.
