Rafael van der Vaart's inch-perfect backpass to nobody in particular

Arsenal will be hoping Rafael van der Vaart is on this sort of form when they play Hamburg in the Champions League. Van der Vaart plays a backpass to his AWOL keeper and then attempts to make amends with an awful dive to stop the goal being awarded.

Where was his keeper. Did he take a pee break.

I would assume it was near the end of the match and they were trying to equalize so they put the keeper forward for the free kick. second time looking, the keeper is in the box in the attacking third.

Nice find. These moments are so much more fun to watch than read about. 🙂
