I see the validity in both reasonings but I personally still beleive that the MLS nor any US league should go into Canada.

But Costa Ricans (for example) should be internationals because there is no MLS team there. Again, just my opinion.

Simple, rational, easy to understand and implement. Of course, that means it is impossible.

I love that idea. I don't think the US players have a lot to fear from being overwhelmed by Canadian players. There are a few good ones but not enough to really take over spots in terms of American player development. And it would help the Canadian players who may be good enough to be an MLS starter but marginally worth an SI slot. Plus whomever is coaching Toronto may night like them.

Then again, I'd like to see NAFTA turn into this kind of a work arrangement for all citizens of all 3 countries so maybe I'm just too biased toward this type of thing to start with.

TFC just hired their new pr person as well:

That's right, your favorite Fox Sports World announcer is leaving to join the Media and PR department of Toronto FC. Good move hiring someone actually in the business IMO.

Exactly, unlike a certain RSL franchise we know.

Sure, she has industry experience, but does she have PR experience? I'm not saying that RSL has had the best scenario with hiring someone with PR experience and not inudstry experience - but I'm not sure one is necessarily better than the other. Perhaps someone with both would be nice.

A UK Euro has even been minted. They are for sale on the internet and are unofficial.

Another reason is that many nations do not want to give up their native tongue... so it will be a lot longer than a hop-skip and a jump away from assimilating all of Europe and becoming a Borg super state.

I digress...

The league will be better served by broadening it's definition of "domestic".
