❓ California Beaches?

My family and I are taking our first Disneyland trip this weekend, and would like to spend a day at the beach. For those of you that have frequented California in Orange County and/or those that have lived there, what are the best beaches to visit?

If you have time and enjoy scenery, run up to Santa Barbara. The beaches there along the cliffs (especially Hendry's Beach, a.k.a. Arroyo Burro Beach) are great. I'd also recommend driving along Highway 1 to Oxnard, as the ocean views are stunning, especially around Point Mugu. I drove that at sunset in Early August - saw a gorgeous sunset, and a full moon rise at the same time, thus causing large waves crashing in the twilight.

Perhaps I should include more details.

My kids are 9, 7 and 1, and we will have already spent 2 days at Disneyland - so not necessarily looking for additional attractions besides a nice, family-oriented, not so crowded beach. We plan on going on Sunday, and driving really far isn't a preference - neither are scenic views necessarily (although my wife and I would enjoy them, I doubt our kids will really appreciate them).

I was doing some research on the Internet and was thinking about Seal Beach, as that's really close to where we are staying in Anaheim, and isn't as popular, apparently, as Laguna, etc. Anyone heard of this one?

We went straight down Harbor blvd from D-land to Newport Beach. But I can't remember a thing about it other than looking for legal parking.

Just a warning - it might be a little hard to find parking and a beach that is not too crowded on Sundays. But good luck and have a fun trip!

That's why I was wondering about Seal Beach. On the Internet it said that it was a lot less popular than some of the other beaches.
