Trying to switch season tickets

Did you spend this much time and energy with the ticket rep?

Which opera company were you dealing with? I can't imagine Utah Opera being more user friendly than RSL.

Opposing view points do not have to turn in to board wars. It's a public forum and to expect everyone to have the identical perspective is foolish.

Not a knock on any of the sales people but they do not communicate well and this is known by everyone involved. It is the same FO that had the head of sales tell people that some tickets would not be sold to the public but forgot to tell either his own staff or the RES staff that information.

If RSL had sold more than 6,000 season tickets it might be an issue but the reality is that the seats in question are in a section that would be a downgrade of seats for almost every single one of those season ticket holders. Your example of an NFL club with a waiting list is not a valid comparison and holds no value.

This is simply another example of the blind leading the blind and then someone deaf trying to jump to their defense. If you have not been involved in this situation, then you can ask about it to get more info but to jump to assumptions or make vague comparisons to situations that have nothing to do with the issue at hand really add no value but are often meant to just start board wars.

And you had to say that for him why? Just saying, you people are arguing an arguement that really shouldn't be argueable at all.

It did not start out as any type of arguement, it was simply a person venting their fustrations in dealing with the way ticket sales are being handled or not handled. So after several people not understanding or trying to create a issue with the poster, I simply restated the facts, which seemed to be getting ignored and that is the chaos that seems to be in control of the sales office and to a larger extent the Front Office in general.

There are several people on this board that any time you offer a critical word about the front office they jump all over you. I find that not only humorous but a bit annoying, if you have never had an issue with the FO, great fine but do not accuse those who have run into problems and wish to discuss them of making things up or worse.

I am hoping that the recent changes in the structure of the FO will resolve much of the chaos that is present in that enviornment. Only time will tell

This whole thing is stupid. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to complain about the FO, but this isn't one of them. I don't blame them at all for wanting to wait and do all their seat assignments at one time rather than doing them for each individual separately. That would be a waste of time and energy for them. But then I guess you have spoken and complained about something so they should immediately jump just for you, right?

Surely there are more important things in your life to worry about rather than whether you will be sitting on seat 10 or seat 11 of the first row of section 38. It's not like they are going to randomly put you in some spot in the stadium. You will get the best available seat in section 38 which will be in the second row at the absolute worst.

I guess your complaint isn't that big of a deal or you would simply wait and spend the extra money to know exactly where you will be sitting. If it meant that much to you, it seems like the smart thing to do. Obviously it doesn't mean that much to you and is simply one more thing to complain about.

I suppose you're right. I should spend my time complaining about why a raging dip**** such as your self feels compelled to pontificate to the unwashed masses about what they should or should not think is stupid. If what I posted was wasting effort what the hell are you doing you flaming moron?

(You're right Merril. I don't really know Aero or Aerick. They might be the two smartest people in the world, but I must assume based soley on what they post that they are idiots. They would tell you the same about me, I assure you)

I think someone once said "there is no greater compliment than to be maligned by a fool." That must be why I feel so complimented after reading this post. Thank you for the compliment.

But seriously Aero, you and I should take this show on the road. We seem to be getting a pretty good response. I'll see if I can get an agent.

With that I humbly suggest that this thread should probably be closed.
