I was planning on bringing my 10-year old son (who plays at comp level U-10 defender IMHO) to this as well, but I'm concerned that it will make it less fun for everyone else - especially now that JC may be coming. Should I still bring him? I'd still love to bring him, but I don't want everyone else muttering under their breath about how lame it was for me to bring my boy to play.

Bring him... last year Fuegote got schooled by a 12 year old and I am not ashamed to say that same twelve year old scored a goal when I was in goal.

I am the swiss cheese goal keeper... LOL! but you will all be spared this year as i am sidelined with a shoulder injury.

But i will be there with canned goods and some cash to donate!

Hope to see you all there...

My 11 yr old will be playing. The young kids will run circles around most of the guys there, believe me!

I've played with Jeff several times before, my coach played with Real(Ryan Martin) but when Ryan tore his ACL, Jeff and Tiger stepped in. But Jeff was almost never there. 😛 He'll probably go easy on us. 😉

I'm in for the big game! I've never played before, but am confident that I can give JC a run for his money in winning the Gravy Bowl Golden Boot award!!!

Seriously though, I really have never played, despite wanting to. I grew up playing Basketball while always watching soccer, so this is gonna be awesome for me. Thanks for putting it on!!

Current weather forecast: Cold! But no precip.

It looks like the warmer weather we've been having will end Wednesday night. Here's hoping it hangs on for one more day...

Ha ha, if this weekend taught me anything, it's that Kreis leaving will never happen. RSL's like a roach motel - players check in but they don't check out. Eventually Kreis will retire and move into the FO a la Kam. After many years of that he will die, at which time Dave Checketts will preserve Kreis' body and keep it in the creepy house he owns behind the Checketts Motel on the old highway. Occasionally he'll put on Kreis' old clothes and have conversations with him. 🙂

Believe it or not, I'm not actually that much of a Kreis fan - I just think he still brings enough to the table.

That 12 year old plays for me.....he'll be there this year. He's looking forward to schooling all of us again. His little brother, age 10, also plays for me (on a different team) and will be there. I expect him to punk us as well.

So what's the expected attendance? I plan on going, and I may bring a friend...I haven't strapped my boots on in far too long. I'm excited! See you all there!
