If he would have passed the ball more, he would have had a record that would have never been broken.

My boss watched one of the RSL games on Fox Soccer last season, and he came to work and said, "Who's that Cunningham guy. If he'd pass the ball, Real would have had six goals. They need to get rid of him." Now he's no authority, but his brother did play for Dundee, Tottenham, and Scotland.

I don't think we'd be playing Freddy in the forward position, I was thinking he would play left-mid.

Just imagine our midfield if he did!
-------Talley------
-Klein--------Adu-
-------Mehdi------
That has got to be one of the best midfields in MLS!

BTW, this is not our Designated Player. Or at least, it does not seem that way. Adu is not international, and it was announced that we were signing an international DP. I hope that a new forward is signed as our DP, to go along side Jeff. Our DP + Jeff up top + the aforementioned midfield = Best Offense in the league. I can't wait for 2007 Meet the Team Day!

This is so exciting, just imagine the rise in attendance! :signrocko

RSL 2007 should be a great thing!

But seriously, Freddy was #9 for DCU last season. Jason was #9 for RSL. Jeff has already claimed #10. Any idea what number Freddy will wear next season?

I would rather see Adu as an attacking midfielder. Mehdi never really proved himself this season in my mind, although he has some ball handling skills. I just imagine that Freddy is coming here to play the position he always wanted to play. That, and he played with Coach E in the U teams, so Ellinger may just give him that spot...

You can get a 06/07 RSL Jersey until May '07 and get Adu on the back.

May is the expected date when the Xango Jerseys are available

Yeah, I saw the ad on RSL's mlsnet page with the Adu announcement. It just doesn't seem as authentic if Adu didn't ever wear last years jersey in a match...

RSL 2007 should be a great thing!

All this, a bag of chips, and Kreis, Williams, and Harris coming in off the bench.

In '05 when we got Kreis, Williams, and Pope I thought we could be ok.
In '06 when we got Klein I knew we were a playoff team.
In '07 when we add Adu...

my track record of predictions is pretty poor but I'll give one more try...

In '07 when we add Adu we pound the crapids by a aggegate score of 14-0.

Answer me this... Is RSL really considering Adu a player for the franchise or are they positioning themselves for a large payday when Adu inevitably transfers to Europe?
I was never in the Adu camp, but I can say I'm honestly excited to see if this 17 year old can bring a bit of "world class" attention to our little club. It just seems like we've struggled to gain an identity of an actual professional club, and perhaps this signing does that.

Anyway, welcome to Adu and Nick, and heres to the RMC and a playoff run....
