Soccer games at the Fiesta I found this interesting that the Boise State players were spending their free time playing Soccer games on their X-box 360 at the Fiesta bowl. The person referred to here is Ian Johnson the Heisman trophy candidate and starting running back. It appers he's a soccer nut.
[from SI.com] With the team's curfew getting pushed back from midnight to 11 p.m. to 10, the team hospitality suite in the lobby of Boise's hotel becomes the place to be for the players. The oversized suite is equipped with a couple of plush couches in front of a big screen television, four flat screens connected to Xbox 360s, ping-pong, foosball, pool tables and an assortment of arcade games. Ian Johnson is sitting on a couch in front of one of the flat screens and "taking souls" as he schools his teammates in the other football, defeating player after player in FIFA 07. "I don't care which team I have," says Johnson, whose television in Boise is usually blasting Fox Soccer Channel. "Chelsea is the best team, but I'll pick West Ham and beat you with Chelsea. I'll beat you with DC United." "Whatever man," says fullback Michael Lose. "I'll beat you with deez." After beating Lose, Johnson moves to cornerback Seth Anderson. "I'm working you," he says after leading Werder Berman to a quick 2-0 lead over Chelsea in the first half. "I'm reading you like a book. Dr. Seuss, dog! I'm beating you with a Bundesliga team dog! Bundesliga! That's boozey. I can coach you for like $100 a day if you want." A couple goals later and Johnson's voice can be heard reverberating through the room. "Oh, I just took your soul! I just took your soul! Remember when I took your soul when you thought you had a goal? I'm taking souls tonight, who's next?"
