If you have sent a letter about the stadium to a member of the house or Senate, reproduce it here if you like. This is the one I sent today to Ralph Becker, Minority Leader.
Quote:
The soccer stadium, wherever it might be located, should be supported by Democratic House members because Real Salt Lake serves a unique position in Utah by bringing together the State's largest ethnic groups in common support for their team. Soccer is clearly an extraordinary passion in the Hispanic community and soccer has the highest per capita participation among Utah youth and adults in the nation. Because it will serve as a point of cultural interface, the soccer stadium will enrich the State beyond the apparent economic development benefits.
I urge you to shift to a favorable position regarding the soccer stadium and to encourage more support among other State Democratic Representatives.
Thank you for your time and willingness to listen to my concerns. |
