Ellinger Out! Kreis In!

Just heard the news on the press conference. Holy Crap. I for one welcome our new coaching overlord.

Kreis as Coach, lets see how he does.

About time Ellinger gets pulled out of there. I'm sure he's a great developer of talent but a head coach he's not.

I too am excited to see if Kreis brings a more attacking style to the table. Lets hope...

I am more interested in the team finishing opportunities, regardless of formation or style.

👍

There is no doubt that Kreis knows how to play soccer, and how to score goals! The only question is, can he make the transition to coach? Can he motivate and lead the players to greater heights. I personally think he will do a great job.

I think you will see harder working practices, working on specific problems to train the team how to work together better. I also think he will expect greater effort from the players, individually.

Kreis has always been my favorite player. Now he is going to become my favorite coach!

Half his battle will be to have people pull the trigger on shots. If I see a change in the starting line up today and more shots being taken, I will feel much better about Kreis.

He does need to develop a personality though. He is as dry as melba toast. Maybe if he faked an accent or something...

My only real immediate hope is that the whole attitude changes. Until the 68th minute and Pope's yellow, there didn't seem to be a sense of urgency about the team. I hope that changes.

I just want them to take more shots, period. I mean, you know it's a problem when the crowd is screaming "SHOOT IT!! SHOOT IT!!" whenever we have possession and are around the box.

We need to put some pressure on the opposing keeper, at some point he'll make a mistake.

I think we need a chant for both "shoot it" and "make a run" as they are the two things we need. Any great songs that match those?
