Connolly picks CRapids 2nd in West

He's at it again.

Marc Connolly of ESPNSoccernet is previewing the Western Conference for the website and in his first installment has picked the CRapids to finish 2nd in the West:

Outlook: The problem in Rapidsville has always been the mood of the team. At least during the Hankinson Years. Now that he is out and Clavijo is in, everything seems different within this club. Henderson says he is rejuvenated, as are several of the longtime Rapids players, and players from all over the country have inquired about playing for Clavijo.

Players from all over what country?

Yeah, let's improve the mood and everything gonna be OK. Hankinson was such a mean guy and it's so much nicer in Denver now. More like when Bobby Houghton and Glenn Myernick were there--before they were fired.

Not that I want to help our RMC rivals, but they might look at getting some better players too. Maybe someone who can score goals on a regular basis.

New year, same old CRapids.

No word yet on who Connolly picks for first place. Can't wait to see where he rates RSL.

NEWSFLASH... This just in...

"Marc Connolly is arrested for possession of Marijuana. He was recently discovered unconcious in his basement. After recovering, he was questioned about his recent article regarding the team on the other side of the hill. He could not remember writing said article and, after review, stated that it must have been written by Mary Jane. He sent his deepest apologies to soccer fans around the country. He swears that he would never have written such a thing and stated 'How COULD the finish second in the West? Wouldn't they have to score first?'. His family is relieved he is OK but refuses to return his phone calls for the shame he has brought upon the family.

In unrelated news, Marc Connolly was introduced today as a member of the Colorado Rapids Hall of Fame. He is the first and probably last member of this exclusive club."
