I like Scooby Doo...
is that okay? :o "Scooby-Dooby-Doo, here are you. You're ready and you're willing. If we can count on you Scooby Doo, I know you'll catch that villian." Are you sure we can't use this in our chants some how? "Real Real Real, where are you? You're ready and you're willing. If we count on you R-S-L, We know you'll win the game." p.s. please, no hate mail. 😉 p.p.s. some of you are having a serious discussion that is beyond my grasp and I apologize if this interrupts you.

I hate to play devil's advocate (nevermind...yes I do 🙂 ) but here goes. Regardless of whether RDA's cause a long term funding loss to schools, I'm afraid that a RDA on Block 22 would have, for SLC at least. To build the stadium, Mark Miller Toyota would have to leave, probably to go to Murray or Sandy. I would imagine that the value of a auto dealership re property taxes is probably fairly large. Instead of the Lehi-Micron situation where you have underperforming bare land and a farm or two, you have a Block that is already contributing to the tax base. How long would it take for the Stadium to make back the $ that is lost, not only from years in which no tax money goes to the schools, but for the $ that Mark Miller and the other business on the block were paying. (BTW...this is one of the reasons some were more interested in the land west of Gateway...which truly is not performing)... Just my 2 cents...
