Soccer this Summer?

Last spring/summer/fall, I played soccer every sat. morning with a bunch of guys at a park. Now, granted, I'm pretty bad. But it was fun. Anyone know of any locations that generally have pick-up games, or is anyone interested in starting something up?

The warm weather is arriving, and I'm getting anxious.

I am SO bad at soccer, it's embarrassing. Count me in! Maybe we could play saturdays before the games or something... of course I'd like to clean up before going to the game. It would have to be local, but you are from the UC right bordy?

Any park where a lot of Hispanics live will have pick up games on Saturdays…

Maybe I can work out a way to bring the kids and/or husband and hang out with bordy's wife if she goes. Then I can at least have a good laugh once in a while! 😉

Last year I saw lots of games at Orem Jr High by Timpanogos Hospital on 800 N. I don't know if they were pick up games or league games?
I'm up for games, but you can't laugh... I'll be out of breath just walking to the field. :o

When I was at BYU we had games at Provo HS every Saturday at 10 am. Often we had enough people for 2 full sided games by about 11 am... However, I don't know if they still have those games going. It was awesome to see how many people turned up. Best pick up games I have ever played in... about 50% hispanic, 50% local college students. A few very good players, a few average and the rest were weekend hacks. It was the prefect fit for anyone.

However, I am now in SLC. I would love to organize a pcikup game at Liberty or Sugarhouse park (Highland High)... Where would people like to play?

I would be down usually, but Saturday mornings is when I play paintball in the spring and summer months. Soccer comes on weeknights.

If anyone is interested in playing some paintball any Saturday this year let me know and we'll go out and shoot some people and hopefully each other.
