Don Garber is on the case.

Don used to work for the NFL; the Champions of talking cities into closing schools and fire stations and spending the money to subsidize millionaires instead.

So The Don will sort out Bramble and have Salt Lake City & the surrounding area well on the way to being the next Cleveland or downtown Oakland.

From the above link…

“RSL will play its first two seasons, starting next month, at the University of Utah's Rice-Eccles Stadium. That will give the team time to show community support and persuade lawmakers to rescind the bill next session or perhaps find other stadium funding.”

OK, sports fans… We have our marching orders…

Kudos to Rocky Andersen for trying to get the Gov. to veto the bill…

Honestly, is it that bad? Will this stadium really close schools and force thousands of kids into child labor sweatshops? Will Salt Lake turn into a slum because of a moderate sized sports facility?

How much money are we talking about?, 30 to 40 million, 50 million max. Compare that to Miami's future stadium for the Marlins, 420 million!

So did anyone ever figure out who did this (drew on the senator's driveway with chalk <gasp>? I joined the boards after this all went down, so I don't know if this is common knowledge.

I think the real question is who is willing to do it again.

Hey, I'm just kidding.

Or am I? Yes, I am.

I was amused that he mentioned that his home was "vandalized" last spring. OOOHHH inflatable soccer balls and sidewalk chalk.
