Inter v Porto Champions League [R]

So Inter makes it three Italian teams in the quarterfinals, with Spain coming up empty.

And Porto won't repeat as Champions, although Jose Mourinho is still at it.

Inter is a club making a very quiet run at silverware this year, although I think the scudetto is out of reach for them. Milan gets the attention in town these days, but watch out for Inter.

Inter has a tremendous array of talent (although I think they could jettison Alvaro "El Chino" Recoba without any adverse affects).

Mancini has done a tremendous job at Inter this season. The amazing thing is that they have 17 draws or something like that. If they could have converted a few more of those into wins, they would be competing for the scudetto.

What's happened to Recoba lately?

Back in the day when you could actually see Serie A on FSW, he was the Next Big Thing. Kind of lost track of a lot of players in the last few years, though.

Isn't it in Spanish?

The one on Comcast always has Spanish-lang listings, anyway.

No. Its original market was Hispanic, but now they have English...

BTW, I get mine through Comcast as well...

With GolTV, I’m back to enjoying Serie A and La Liga in addition to FSC’s premiership. Heaven!

Yeah GolTV is great. Recoba is not. But Inter has such a weird and amazing record (they are like 7-17-1 or something)... I could see them making a run in CL. Italian football still seems to be the main power in Europe.

Just dumped my cable and picked up DISH--just to get GolTV. First thing I watched was Milan-Sampdoria. Can't believe I can actually watch Serie A again (and La Liga, of course).

And yes, the commentary is in English.

Highly recommended.

Beautiful Rover. I now how you feel to be back in touch with Italian Calcio.

The great thing about GolTV is that (when it comes to Spanish and Italian football) they usually limit their programming to the top 3-4 teams in La Liga and Serie A. That means that you get to see Real, Barca, Juve, Inter, Milan, etc. every single week!!! By the way, the transmission is crystal clear.

As opposed to FSC (as far as the Premiership), sometimes you’ll get Norwich and Crystal Palace or whatever instead of the top sides of the league..

I’m beginning to sound like a commercial for GolTV…
