Thanks to everyone who showed up today to help. Dysco brought some sign-up forms. HiddnFox stayed up all night to make an awesome poster sized sign he brought. Scot had us all set up with a table and some signs he made up for us. We were well represented by HiddnFox, The Cup, Dysko, Neil and his wife (whom I will testify did not shoot him), Remus, Jose Luis , Myself and (of particular note), two of our newest members, Steve and Teri Pastorino.

As is always the case with the RSL front office, the event was top notch. They took good care of us as well as everyone there. Attendence probably wasn't as high as expected but there was good participation by those that were there and it seemed everyone was having a good time.

We had a fair amount of interest in The Loyalists with a few people mentioning they had heard of us in various stories in the newspaper. And several others asking "what is it you do"? It's really exciting to think what kind of interest/participation we'll get once people are exposed to what we are doing.

A special thanks again to Scot and everyone else in the FO for their help and support.

I've probably forgotten something/someone, but it's late. I'll add more tomorrow if I think of anything.

There were quite a few people there, (thanks to the group of young female Japanese tourists that came in) and things seemed to be going well. There were alot of people getting video taped doing their best Goooaaal yell. I'm not sure if they had very many people trying to sing the national anthem, they were doing that outside in the stadium while all of the other activity was inside where the ticket booths were.

I was there with a Hard Core Hooligan who decided to practice her Pitch Invasions. So we spent a lot of time on the field.

While we were on the field, they were holding auditions for PA announcer.

They had the announcer candidates read a lineup.

I seem to remember it as:

Countess

Akwari Dunseth Pope

Behncke Whitfield Rojas Williams Kreis

Mathis Selolwane

But I could be wrong; I did not write it down. And I think I drained all the oxygen out of my brain during my "Goal" call.

A great, great guy! I pointed out to him how far ahead 2005 RSL is compared to the 96 Galaxy. But he turned it around & pointed out that he had the examples of the '96 Galaxy & the '98 Fire to learn from.

Neil, I think you got a shot of a Hard Core Hoolie trying to disguise her identity in an RSL scarf? Is that picture on the Loyalists site or could you E mail it to me?

Thanks!!!!

Nice guys nice. Glad you all had a good time and things got acomplished. Wish I could have been there. I did give HiddnFox (Steve) moral support during his late night banner creation.

Good job!

Here's one other thing I remembered from yesterday.

File this under the "Way too much information" category.

While The Hardcore Hooligan was running around the field, Chad Sackett passed by, showing 2 other fans where their seats would be.

He also showed them to the Gridiron markings, and how they are on the Field Turf very permanently.

He also said that when goalkeepers dive on the ground to cover low shots, little bits of the field turf rubber base break off & get caught in the 'keeper's ears & nose.

Ewwwwwwww!

My sons have played on the stuff and they hate it. They played on field turf in Virginia in August/September tournaments and league games, right when the heat and humidity are at their worst. They told me their feet got so hot they could hardly keep them on the ground. And the fake turf reflects the heat instead of absorbing it like real grass.

Wherever they played on it, indoor or outdoor, they always ended up with those "little bits" all over their uniforms, in their hair, eyes--you name it. 😲

Should be fun for the players this summer, just like it was in Southlake and Naperville.

Yet another reason to hurry up and get our SSS built.

Yes, pretty much. Although I think the T actually stands for Tape, Tape Delay.

There is a schedule with the home matches and info on TV broadcasting.

For the Sat., June 4th match against FC Dallas, it shows that TV coverage will be by FSN (TD). Fox Sports Network (I presume? Fox Sports Rocky Mountain?) but I'm not sure what TD means. Anyone? Transmission delayed?

Also, there is note that the dates of the following matches are subject to change:

Wed. Sept. 21 against Chivas
Sat. Oct. 15 against Colorado"
Also, its possible I’m the only one that hasn’t made this change to my original schedule but:

The Monday, Sept. 5 match has been moved to:

Sat. Sept. 3 (against NE Revs) 7:30 pm

Hasn't seen that. I'm disappointed--I wanted us to play on Labor Day to establish the game as a regular event.

Thanks for the update.
