Having a reserve side is awesome. This is really going to help the league develop and keep improving our brand of soccer. This also affords us a chance to take looks at kids on short term contracts and see if they are worthy of being added to the team at a later date.

Watson is a freaking scoring machine.

All of the reserve matches are on Sunday this season except for one – this Saturday after the cRapids match. Reserves match starts at 3:30 pm.

Reserves rules...

I read this the other day so I thought I'd post it. Any player who does not start the "1st team" match is eligible to play in the reserves game. But, like has been said, no one player is allowed to play more than 90 minutes in a week. That is why Tiger played in the reserves match Saturday (and looked very good by the way) and had the assist on the corner.

It was also mentioned earlier that Watson is a scoring machine, but the Colorado reserves did a great job keeping him from getting the ball. If you were at the game you also saw how easily Jaime gets frustrated when he is not getting the ball. He also took his frustrations out (verbally) on a teammate which I thought was totally uncalled for and unprofessional.

BTW, both local kids (Flores and Acosta) played really well in front of the home crowd. It was good to hear their family/supporters/friends get it up in the stands.

Is it Garcia or Flores?

I also thought the defense was out of order, dropping the F bomb at Watson. Heck, this is family entertainment…

Actually ANY player on the roster can play in the Reserve match as long as they DIDN'T play 90 minutes in the main game. Regardless if they started or not.
Thats the only rule.

Correction...

Yes, Flores, not Garcia. Sorry, I edited my earlier post.

And you are right Prime, the only rule is the 90 minute thing. I swear I had read differently elsewhere...oh well.
